Hong Kong was terrible and beautiful at the same time. I went in July so it was blazing hot. The people are loud and aggressive. I saw two people talking to each other and I thought a fight was about to break out. Then I realized it was just the culture. It was a total culture shock because people in Okinawa are very quiet and very accomodating.
This was the Ladies’ Market. There was at least 1 of everything imaginable – purses, shoes, cell phone holders, pajamas, clothes, souvenirs. And if you didn’t like the price, the vendors would not let you leave until you did.
This was a view of the valley. Our tour guide said that people paid sometimes millions to live outside because real estate is so scarce.
Watching the sunset on the water was beautiful. It cooled down and it was nice to be off foot (and out of a speed-racing taxi) for a while.
